Royal Challengers Bangalore is the most popular franchise in the IPL. Their squad always used to have star players. Be it Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli, AB De Villers, the franchise certainly is up high on the style quotient and fame, but their on field performance is not what their loyal fans deserve.
Today we look at the 5 instances when RCB made their 5 lowest total in IPL history and made their fans eyes watery :-
1)49 against KKR :- A one run shy of a half century is the lowest score made by RCB and it is also the lowest total in IPL history.
In Eden gardens, chasing just 131, RCB was undone by KKR seamers.
2)68 against SRH, 2022 :- A win in 8 overs for SRH as they chased down modest total of 68 runs by RCB easily.
Not much to talk about RCB batting, other than Kohli, Anuj and Dinesh Karthik all three went to the dressing room without disturbing the scorecard.
3)70 runs against CSK, 2019 :- Though RCB got all out on just 70, their bowlers made sure CSK will have to sweat it out hard in the field as CSK finally was able to chase down but only in 18th over. Good character showed by RCB under captainship of Virat Kohli.
4)70 runs against RR, Abu Dhabhi :– RCB had no answers to then veteran 42 year old Pravin Tambe and now spin bowling consultant of LSG, as they only managed to put 70 on the board which was chased down easily by RR.
Pravin Tambe took 4 wickets for 20 runs.
5)81 against KKR, 2011 :- Its again KKR bowlers who made light work of RCB batsman.
