1)Sumit Kumar :- The allrounder from Haryana earned his first IPL contract with Delhi Capitals for 1 crore in the auction happened on 19 December 2024.
The 28 year old all rounder from Haryana had superb Syed Mushtaq trophy and IPL scouts of different franchises certainly had eye on him.
He is an allrounder and Delhi Capitals may play him in place of Lalit Yadav who also does a similar role.
2)Vicky Ostwal :- The 22 year old left arm spinner who was bought by Delhi Capitals in 2022 is yet to make a debut for his team. Vicky was part of u19 World Cup team winning team and had a fifer against South Africa in the World Cup.
Though still to play, the left arm spinner from Lonavala knows that his chance is just around the corner and he should be ready to give his best for the team.
3)Ricky Bhui :- With 6 years in Sunrisers hyderabad and still to feature in a IPL game,27 year old Ricky Bhui from Bhopal can hope for change of fortunes with the new franchise Delhi Capitals in IPL 2024.
With 18 hundreds to his name in 71 first class matches at an average of 46, Ricky Bhui has got the numbers behind his back.
Ricky has been a veteran in domestic cricket. He has played 10 Ranji seasons so far and if given an opportunity he certainly will bring his A game on the field.
4) Kumar Khushagra – A 67 runs off 37 balls in Vijay Hazare fetched the 19 year old from Jharkand a IPL contract worth 7.2 crores with Delhi franchise.
With Rishabh Pant injured, Delhi capitals have invested heavily on a Indian wicketkeeper.
He is from Jharkand and the another legend from Jharkand M.S Dhoni is his ideal.
Saurav Ganguly also has found little bit of Dhoni in Kumar Khushagra and that could be the reason Delhi Capitals got him for such a great amount.
With money comes the pressure, but young Kumar Khusagra should do what he has been doing so far, and that is to play aggressive cricket from ball 1. Fans are eagerly waiting to see another wicketkeeper from Jharkand who have glimpses of M.S Dhoni.
