Rishabh Pant will have to watch the World Cup 2023 and also IPL 2024 from the tv in his home as the fatal accident happened December 30, 2022 will take some more years from his life.

Pant who was driving  5 seater luxury Mercedes-Benz AMG GLE starting at 1.71 crore met with a life threatening accident on Delhi-Dehradun highway on 30 December 2022.

Ishant Sharma, who has played alongside Pant in both the Indian team and Delhi in the IPL and Ranji, believes that Pant’s recovery will be a prolonged process. making it unlikely for him to participate in the upcoming ICC Men’s ODI World Cup or even the following IPL season.

During a discussion on Jio Cinema, Ishant shares his views about Pant’s return, he said, “I feel we might not get to see Rishabh Pant in the next IPL as well because it is not a small injury. It was a serious accident. He just started batting and wicketkeeping, and to run and turn after that, there are a lot of things, which are not easy for a wicketkeeper and a batter.

“The good thing is that he didn’t have a second surgery. He had one surgery now, but I don’t think he will be fit for the World Cup for sure. Hopefully, if he gets fit for the IPL, it will be great,” he further added.

Recently Rishabh Pant also updated his date of birth, updating his instagram bio to second date of birth : 05/01/23, thanking almighty to give him second birth in this life.

While Rishabh Pant certainly will miss World Cup 2023, next t20 World Cup starts on June 2024, so Rishabh Pant will certainly want to be ready for the World Cup.

As for him, the bigger loss is missing 50 over World Cup, as he himself knows he is not the frontrunner wicketkeeper batsman when it comes to t20 cricket.

In t20 World cup 2022, he was also not the first choice in playing 11 and got some matches to play later only after dismal performance from others.

Besides all of this, we wish him the fastest recovery as he is a champion batsman for India in test cricket, and India certainly missing him big time in test cricket as the backup wicket keeper K S Bharat is making a mess of all the chances given.
