1) Benson n Hedges World Cup 1992 – In the rain affected match, South Africa defeated Pakistan in their first ever World Cup encounter.

Batting first South Africa scored 211 runs and Pakistan got a revised target of 194 runs in 36 overs but Pakistan was only able to make 173 runs and lost the match by 20 runs.

2) 1996 Wills World Cup – 4 years later, Pakistan would have thought that its their chance to win but once again Proteas defeated Pakistan in Pakistan.

3) 1999 World Cup – South Africa had wininng hatrick against Pakistan in World Cup as they won the 2nd Super match in Nottingham by 3 wickets.

Batting first, Pakistan batting once again struggled as they only managed to put a below par score of 220 runs which was finally chased by South Africa with 3 wickets remaining.

4) ICC World Cup 2015 – Pakistan finally won the rain affected 29th match of ICC World Cup 2015 as South Africa got all out at 202 runs in just 33.3 overs, chasing a revised target of 232 runs in 47 overs.

Their batsman played with t20 strike rate but none of them were able to occupy the crease for long.

5) ICC World Cup 2019 – Pakistan had good outing with the bat as they scored 308 runs in 50 overs.
