Zubin Bharucha has been all over news.

Indian cricket new sensation Yashasvi Jaiswal is all praise for Zubin and even Jaiswal father now has acknowledged the sheer hard work done by 54 year old veteran on his son cricketing skills.

After joining Rajasthan Royals in 2014, Zubin has been with the franchise for quite some time now. From 2014 he has been with Rajasthan Royals in the role of Director of high performance, and those who have spent time with him is all praise for him.

Jaiswal in particular who had a breakthrough IPL 2023 season and now following it up with great show even in test cricket against England has named Zubin for his turn around.

Zubin Bharucha used to play domestic cricket for India, though he started playing cricket for England first as a club cricketer for Reigate Priory Cricket Club.

Then, he went on to play for Mumbai. He was part of Mumbai’s 1993-94 Ranjit trophy and made an excellent unbeaten 164 in Irani Cup against Rest of India and helped Mumbai win the trophy.

Then, Bharucha jumped into cricket coaching. He has his academy in Mumbai where many test cricketers have trained. He has worked with lot of Indian players like Yuvraj Singh and even had worked with England and Wales Cricket board on technical aspects of the game.

Here’s a video of him explaining the basics of leg spin with ever young Pravin Tambe.

Jaiswal didn’t have a great IPL 2022 season with only 2 fifties in 10 matches but after spending time with Bharucha, he is now a completely different player who is showing the England team the right way to play test cricket in their own style.

Zubin has a great mind over his shoulder and at the age of 54, he can be considered for India’s head coach or atleast he should be considered for some role in the supporting staff.

The talents like him in cricket coaching will only take Indian cricket to great heights as he is a respected name in the cricket coaching not even in India but in World cricket.
