1)Saurav Chauhan – Son of a groundsman at Sardar Patel Stadium, which was demolished and renovated to current Narendra Modi stadium from 1996 to 2005, it was only a matter of time for Saurav who was living in the ground premises to develop an interest in cricket.
He rosed through the ranks in domestic circuit and debuted for Gujarat in Ranji trophy in 2022.
He was in IPL auctions in the last two seasons too but it was third time lucky for 23 year who was picked up by RCB at the base price in IPL auction 2024.
With Dinesh Karthik and Anuj Rawat also in the squad as wicketkeepers, it will be interesting to see if Saurav will get to debut in IPL 2024, but if he can impress the Mo Babat, the director of RCB cricket in practice games, he can see himself playing it bold for RCB.
2) Manoj Bhandage :- The 25 year old Manoj Bhandage has played 4 domestic season for Karnataka so far. The left handed batsman who also bowls right arm medium is a serious addition to the allrounder list of RCB.
RCB also had Vijaykumar Vyashak who had similar skill set. Vijaykumar Vyashak was recently added in the fast bowling contracts by BCCI for 2023-2024.
Manoj Bhandage has been performing really well in the ongoing DY Patil Cup 2024, striking at the rate of 200 batting at number 7 position and also picking up wickets.
Its always good to have seam bowling all rounders in the team and Manoj will certainly be looking to carry his current good form if he gets a chance in IPL 2024.
3)Rajan Kumar :- The 27 year old left arm fast bowler from the same land of Akash Madhwal, Uttarakhand is also another addition by RCB to their fast bowling line up.
RCB also have Yash Dayal who was previously with Gujarat Giants and was on the receiving side of getting hit 5 sixes in row by Rinku Singh.
Bought at good price of 70 lakhs, Rajan Kumar certainly has impressed RCB with his skills as RCB has retained him for the IPL 2024.
It will be a toss up between Rajan Kumar and Yash Dayal on who will feature in the playing 11 for RCB, the RCB fans will certainly want a player who can help them cross the final line finally in IPL 2024.
