The year is different but not the state of most loyal fans in the universe, RCB fans. Their team again and again is getting defeated with now 3 defeats already in 4 matches.

In match against Rajasthan Royals, RCB got to 183 with the help of Virat Kohli century but the total turned out to be cakewalk for Samson and company and Jos Butler utlilized the opportunity to come back in form and hit 6th century of his IPL career.

Virat Kohli scored the century of IPL, taking 67 balls and is now sitting together with Manish Pandey who also hit the slowest century of IPL , in 67 balls but way back in 2009.

As soon as RCB got defeated, twitter started trending with hashtags #slowest and #selfish as some cricket fans and pundits found Virat knock to be a little on the slower side for the shortest of format.

Let’s check out the best tweets :-

A fan even analysed the century of opposition team players when Virat hit a century and came up with a good stat :-

Ambati Rayadu however rated this century by Kohli as one of the best century of his career. He said “For me, it is one of the finest hundreds of his career. Kohli batted till the end, and it was his hundred that took the team to a fighting total. The pitch was slow, and he understood the conditions. “The problem is not Virat’s strike rate but the performance of the remaining batters.”

While RCB has sill 10 games to play, but they need to sort some serious problems in the bowling department, they have brought in Topley instead of the 11.5 crore surprising buy in auction Alazari Joseph who has been uneffective in the games so far, but their bowling department is very weak.

They tried with Karn Sharma who put out average performance on his best days and Dagar started the tournament god but in the last two matches he has been very expensive, and so is Himanshu Sharma, the unknown leg spinner who though created a chance which was put down by Kohli on midwicket and would have done good for his confidence.

It will be interesting to see what spin bowling combination RCB will play in the coming tournament as all the three spinners have not put any good performances or we might get to see some new signing in the middle of the season. Zampa and Hasranga are not available so the options are really less for RCB, but one thing is for sure their fans will keep supporting them ever.
