In order to rejuvenate their IPL campaign, RCB has opened 2 vacant positions for team director and head coach after sacking Mike Hesson and Sanjay Bangar in the similar roles.
RCB, who are still in search of their first IPL title after playing 16 seasons, are reassessing on their strategies for IPL 2024.
The 48 year old Mike Hesson who was one of the most successful coaches for Newzealand, took the responsibility of Director of Cricket operations for RCB in 2019. After a brief 4 years and still no cup to their name, RCB think tank has decided to try some new brain, in their quest for first IPL title
While we still awaits on, who will be the new Director of Cricket operations for RCB, Mike Hesson is certainly available for new assignments.
As for head coach, Sanjay Bangar who is only one of two players to score 6,000 runs and take 200 wickets in the Ranji Trophy, is also available for new assignments.
Bangar who was previously associated with Team India as batting coach, joined RCB as consultant in 2021, and then later was promoted to head coach in 2022 continuing it in 2023.
As for RCB fans, they will certainly want some new magic-duo, who can really change the fortunes and reset the history of 16 years.
