Jasprit Bumrah, India’s premium fast bowler who last played his September 25, 2022 against Australia, is close to full fitness and is hopeful to be soon seen wearing blue jersey again for team India.
Bumrah who was carrying a back injury that has now kept him out for almost a year, is sweating hard at the NCA, and is eyeing Ireland t20 series starting from 18 August, 2023.
Along with Bumrah, Shreyas Iyer who is carrying bulged disc injuey and also missed IPL 2023, is also expected to be fit before Ireland series. But as per reports, his recovery is on the slower side.
For team India, both were regular feature in ODIs for team India and with World cup less than 5 months away, both of them will want to have some real match practice before competing in the biggest of tournament.
Prasidh Krishna, who also missed the IPL with a back injury, is also recovering well and has resumed bowling. The 27-year-old is in line to feature in the Asia Cup, which could boost India’s pace attack.
