1.Virat Kohli

Kohli’s 52-ball innings against Australia in Jaipur in 2013.Australia batted first and posted a tremendous score of 359/5 in the first inning. However, in response, the Indian openers smashed the Australian bowlers in all areas. Virat pulled the game away with a 52-ball century, scoring 100* from 52 balls with 8 fours and 7 sixes, the fastest by an Indian.

2.Virender Sehwag

On March 11, 2009, he accomplished this feat against New Zealand in Hamilton. New Zealand batted first, posting a score of 270/5 in the first inning. In response, India got off to a fast start, with both openers putting on an undefeated 201-run partnership in just 23.3 overs, while Sehwag hit a 60-ball century.When the rain started, he was unbeaten on 125 off 74, with 14 fours and six sixes.

3.Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli enjoys good time in the middle against Kangaroos. It constantly gets the best of him, and he ranks third on this list. This century came in October 2013, when India put on a spectacular batting showing.

Australia scored 350/6 in the first inning. Dhawan was out after 100 runs, but Virat went on to smash a 61-ball century and lead India home. He struck an unbeaten 115 off 66 balls, including 18 fours and one six, as India chased down a mammoth score of 351/4 in 49.3 overs.

4.Mohammad Azharuddin 

Mohammad Azharuddin achieved India’s fourth-fastest century in ODIs. In fact, this knock was the fastest for nearly two decades. In December 1988, it took against New Zealand in Vadodara.

Chasing the target, India lost its first three wickets for 50 runs. But then came the match-winning knock, as Azharuddin smashed a 62-ball century and an unbeaten 108 off 65 balls, with 10 fours and three sixes, to enable India reach 282/8 and win by two wickets.

5.Yuvraj Singh 

The swashbuckling allrounder for Indi has played some breath taking innings, including India’s fifth-fastest ODI century. It came against England in November 2008. He hit a 64-ball century, scoring 138* from 78 balls, including 16 fours and six maximums. India scored 387/5 and removed England for 229 runs, winning by 158 runs.

6.Kedar Jadhav

Next on  the list comes the late gloomer Kedar Jadhav when he scored a quick fire century against England in 2017. India were 63/4 when he came and stood strong alongside Virat Kohli for a 200 run partnership which led India to chase a target of 350.

Those who witnessed the innings live on their TV’s will agree that he outshined Kohli that day.

7.Suresh Raina

Suresh Raina made it to the list with his 66-ball century against Hong Kong during 2008 Asia Cup. India set up a target of 374 with M.S Dhoni and Raina both scoring centuries. India comfortably won the match by 256 runs with Raina winning the man of the match award.

8. Virender Sehwag

Again scoring a century off 66 balls and finishing off with 146 off 102 balls against Sri Lanka comes Sehwag. He achieved this in 2009. India went in to set up a target of 414 and Sri Lanka were close enough to win the game but lost it by 3 runs. He was awarded the man of the match.

9.Yusuf Pathan

Yusuf Pathan smacked a 68-ball century in the fifth and the final ODI of the series against South Africa at Centurion. Pathan’s 100 came at the time when none of the other batsmen in the team got a move on and it took a hopelessly placed Indian team to a position of great strength. His steady batting helped India set a solid target which led to India’s win.

10.Virender Sehwag

Virender Sehwag again comes on the list to win his first ever century in ODIs with a blistering 69 ball century against New Zealand way back in 2001. His contribution not only helped India win the match but also made them win  an important match in the Coca Cola Cup in Sri Lanka.
