With 187 wickets in 145 matches at impressive average of 21.67, highest wicket keeper in the history of IPL, and highest wicket keeper for team India in t20 format with 91 wickets, Jind born star cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal finally cleared air on his RCB snub at IPL 2022.
In a new interview, Chahal has blasted the RCB management for not speaking with him before they decided to let him go. “I played around 140 matches for RCB, but I received no proper communication from them. They promised me that they’ll go all out for me. I got very angry after that, I played for them for 8 years. Chinnaswamy Stadium is my favourite,” Chahal was quoted as saying in The Ranveer Allahbadia show.
After RCB going berserk to get Wanindu Hasranga in their team in IPL 2022, Chahal found his new IPL jersey with Rajasthan Royals. “In RCB, I used to finish my quota in 16 overs, but in Rajasthan Royals I bowled consistenly in death, so that helped me grew as a cricketer, so whatever happened, happened for good”, he quoted in the show.
Well, it must have been very disheartening for the brave leggie to not receive any sort of communication from the franchise with whom he was part of 8 years, and not just part but their go to bowler in difficult situations.
As of present, with 50 over World Cup around the corner, Chahal can be India’s trump card playing at home. We will definitely want him to play some ODI before to bring his A game into the biggest of tournament.
