The IPL 2024 final is finally around the corner, started on 22 March, the IPL fans around the world are just some sunsets away from the final showdown.

With new mentor, their former 2 times winning captain, Gautam Gambhir homecoming this season has done wonders for KKR, as the team in black has striked just the right chords this time.

With Sunil Narine back at the top of the order and Varun Chakarawarthy getting into form in the later half of the tournament, they had done good signings in the form of Ramandeep Singh who has already punched above his weight so far in the tournament.

The Indian bowlers also have not done bad too as Harshit Rana is been regular among wicket takers and with Mitchel Starc starting to justify the high paycheck in the recent of matches, KKR has not stepped a wrong foot from the IPL auction to the qualifiers.

But its the finish line and Shreyas Iyer who has not been in the best of form this season is up against the World Cup winning tactician Pat Cummins who has the chance to grab one big trophy again after winning the greatest prize, World Cup last november.

Let’s see how the match can unfold and which team has an advantage in the final jargon.

1)Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma :- The centurian of the World Cup final, head has carried the good head and the amazing striking abilities to the IPL this season.

Though he would have liked to play better innings in the last 2 matches, but the last innings of him of 34 from 28 balls and occupy the crease till the 10th over means he is not going to throw it away at the biggest of stages.

Abhishek Sharma has also been in red hot form and in the lines for a India call up and he will certainly be looking to perform at, when it matters as that will certainly can speak volumes about his ability to sustain pressure in the crunch games.

If both Head and Sharma gets pass the powerplay without loosing a wicket, SRH straightaway comes in the driving seat as like KKR, SRH also boasts of long batting line up with their captain Pat Cummins who is no tailender with the bat coming at number 8.

With such a long batting line up, the message from Australian Captain is clear to his teammates is to just go out and don’t play the waiting game and keep going.

KKR certainly knows they will have to find some way to combat the ferocious show of the two left handers as they can take away the game quickly.

2) Tricky Venkatesh Iyer :- Sunil Narine has been all over the news and rightly so, as he has certainly given KKR some cushion by his clean hitting at the top of the order, but if there is one batsman who is also in good form and may impose serious threat to the opposition, is Venkatesh Iyer.

Venkatesh Iyer has been in some form in recent matches and with his long levers and six hitting abilities combined with sensible batting as per match situations, Pat Cummins know there is this dark horse in the KKR batting line up, who imposes serious threat.

If Venkatesh Iyer can hang around in the middle for a half century or so, with never ending batting line up, it will be very difficult to restrict KKR for anything less than 200.

3)SRH team combination :- Most of the players of them has brought the best of them in the crunch game but there are certain players who knew they could have performed better.

Abdul Samad has been in the IPL for quite some time and its serious time he need to level up his game. Pat Cummins certainly will weigh on his options if he has player in his squad who can replace Samad as he has not been in the best of his form this IPL. They have played Anmolpreet Singh who also have not impressed enough. A tricky but important headache for Pat Cummins.

Another decision for SRH is to see whether they will play their former captain Markaram in the playing 11. or not. They have the option of Marco Jansen, but they need to utlize him well, may be he can be sent up the order if Travis and Abhishek gets a start.

4)Underrated Shahbaz Ahmed :- Shahbaz Ahmed is good utility player who can strike a few and bowl his 4 overs when needed. He has shown in the qualifier that he can bring out the best of him at the biggest of the stage and certainly provides SRH with a advantage as its hard to have good Indian all rounders in the squad and he has a decent tournament so far, the best of his career and he will certainly be looking to give it all in the final showdown.

5)Rinku Singh :- Rinku Singh also had a silent IPL so far after missing out on the World Cup seat but he may be waiting for the crunch game to show the World that he is the man for pressure situations.

It will be interesting on how KKR will utilize Rinku. Will he get a batting promotion or will play as finisher, but he certainly will be preparing hard in the nets as his performance if come right will certainly push KKR to have upper hand in the game.

Overall, its going to be crunch of a game, both KKR and SRH has a long batting line up. KKR has 2 good spinners who are in equally good form. Varun Chakarawarthy 4 overs will be crucial, and if SRH batsman can find a away against him, that will certainly put pressure on KKR bowlers.

SRH has good experience bowling line up in Bhuvneshwar, Natrajan and captain Pat Cummins and holds a slight edge over KKRs inexperience but effective line up of Rana, Arora and Starc.

Aiden Markaram performance and may be Pat Cummins should himself get a batting promotion as he is too good a batter to come out at number 8.

Well, nothing can be said about cricket, but KKR has slight upper hand for the final and we will predict 55-45 chances in favor of KKR to win their third IPL trophy.

At the end it will come down to the players like Shahbaz Ahmed, Ramandeep Singh, Venkatesh Iyer, Shreyas Iyer, Rinku Singh, Aiden Markaram which will tilt the final 1% needed to win the IPL trophy.
