1)Mumbai Indians :- Mumbai has acquired the services of former South african wicket keeper Mark Bouncher whose career was cut short due to an untimely injury in his eyes, but his vision is now clear for the 2024 season for 5 times champion, Mumbai Indians with new captain to his side, Hardik Pandya.
With Kieron Pollard as batting coach, Lasith Malinga as bowling coach, they have also J Arunkumar as assistnat batting coach.
Jagadessh Arunkumar played for Karnaraka from 1993 to 2008.
He joined Karanatake state team from 2012-2014 as batting coach and helped them won back to back Ranji trophy title.
He was the batting coach of Kings 11 Punjab in 2017 and recently coached USA national cricket team from 2000-2002.
He has also played one IPL season for Royal Challengers Bangalore.
2)Chennai Super Kings :- Stephen Fleming, Dwayne Bravo, Michael Hussey form the pillars of CSK coaching staff for season 2024, but they have one name also in the support staff who captained Dhoni in Ranji trophy matches.
CSK has acquired the services of current head coach of Jharkhand, Rajiv Kumar, as fielding coach. Rajiv played for Bihar and Jharkhand and even captained Dhoni in his playing days. He is 47 years old.
3)Royal Challengers Bangalore :- Royal Challengers Bangalore made headlines when they announced new director of cricket Mohammad Bobat popularly known as Mo Bobat.
Mo Bobat has been with England and Wales Cricket board in different roles, team performance director was his last assignment.
RCB also has unknown Adam Grifith as bowling coach of their team.
Retired at 33, Adam used to play for Australia in domestic circuit, he has been part of Australia A team too.
He was the fast bowling coach of Australia men’s team in 2016 under Justin Langer and was also the head coach of Tasmania.
4)Kolkata Knight Riders: Unlike RCB, KKR support staff has more Indian names in their coaching. Gautam Gambhir, Chandrakant Pandit, Abhishek Nayar, Bharat Arun and Aavishkar Salvi form their core group.
They have also James Foster as assistant coach. The 43 year old English cricketer played 7 ODIs and 11 tests for England.
5)Rajasthan Royals :- Rasjasthan Royals have big names likes Sangakarra and Zubin Bharucha but they also have Siddharth Lahiri as assistant coach.
Siddharth Lahiri played professional cricket in India for 11 years and then he moved to England and started his coahing journey.
He opened his academy in London which coached various players who went on to play for England. He is ECB level 3 coach and is also associated with Paarl Royals and Barbados Royals, the other foreign teams of Rajasthan Royals franchise.
6)Kings 11 Punjab :- Kings 11 Punjab doesn’t have unknown in their support squad with Sanjay Bangar joining them as head of cricket development but their website has the names of side arm throwers also listed in their support staff, that is very nice of Punjab Kings to recognize the effort of the hard working side arm throwers.
7)Lucknow Super Giants :- Justin Langer is their head coach and he will get some help from his former teammate Adam Vogues but not many know that our very veteran Praveen Tambe is Lucknow Super giants spin bowling consultant.
He is great option for them considering they have 2 wrist spinners in their gand, young Bishnoi and IPL veteran Amit Mishra.
8)Gujarat Titans :- Gujarat Titans have Ashish Nehra as their head coach and they also have domestic stalwart Mithun Minhas as their assistant coach.
Mithun Minhas was unlucky to not get a place in Indian team in his playing days as there was no vacant place in the era of Sachin-Dravid-Ganguly.
Mithun played 157 matches in total and had 27 centuries to his name in Ranji games. A prolific record.
9)Sunrisers Hyderabad :- Sunrisers hyderabad has Brian Lara , Daniel Vettori but they also Hemang Badani. Badani is known among his fans for his well timed century against Australia in the losing cause.
10)Delhi Capitals :- Lastly, Delhi Capitals also boast of big names like Ricky Ponting and Saurav Ganguly and they have Biju George as their fielding coach.
Biju has been associated previously with Sunrisers hyderabad, India u-19 team in the similar roles.
