1) Bapu Nadkarni ( 21 overs) – Bapu Nadkarni from India tops the list as he bowled 21 back to back maiden overs against England in Nehru Stadium, Chennai in 1964.
The match eventually resulted in draw and Bapu Nadkarni though bowled tight lines remained wicketless in the wicket column. 32-27-5-0 were his final figures. 21 maiden and no wickets doesn’t happen in day today cricket.
2) Ravindra Jadeja ( 17 overs) – If one Indian was not enough to be on the list, we have another. One of the best all rounder in World, Ravindra Jadeja not only bowls his overs fast and he can bowl them without conceding a run.
Bowling against South Africa in 2015 in Ferozshah Kotla, Delhi, Jadeja bowled 17 consecutive maiden overs.
His final figures were 46-33-26-2.
Total 33 maiden overs in spell of 46. Decent enough maiden over percentage.
3) Joey Carew ( 15 overs) – This one is from good old times. In 1968 Joey Carew of WestIndies bowed 15 consecutive maiden overs against England.
His final figures were 25-18-23-1.
4) Johny Wardle (13 overs) – This one is even older than previous. In 1955 Johny representing England, bowled 13 maiden over against Southafrica. He also picked up 4 wickets.
5) Rangana Herath ( 12 overs) – The highest left arm wicket taker in test cricket, Herath also made sure he becomes part of this list as he bowled 12 maiden overs against Australia in 2016 in Pallekele, Srilanka.
He took a fifer and Srilanka won the test match by 106 runs.
6) Jack Young, Sonny Ramadhin ( 11 overs) – Jack Young of England and Sonny Ramadhin of WestIndies bowled 11 consecutive overs in 1948 and 1950 respectively.
7) Chaminda Vaas ( 11 overs) – Chaminda Vaas bowled 11 consecutive overs in 2005 against India.
8) Nathan Lyon ( 11 overs) – Lyon bowled 11 consecutive maiden against SouthAfrica in a drawn match in 2012.
