IPL is a place for records. While we have RCB registered all time lowest score of 49 in IPL 2017, RCB also has the record of highest score ever in IPL of 263 runs which they made way back in 2013 against Pune Warriors.
Bur crossing the 200+ mark is not an easy task, when we are seeing some of the venues have considerable slow pitches like Ekana Stadium, Lucknow, scoring 200+ always gives the team a security of things under control.
Lets look at the most 200+ run scored by teams in the IPL seasons concluded (2008 – 2023) :-
5) Kolkata Knight Riders
First on the list, Kolkata Knight Riders have crossed 200 runs mark 15 times.
They have Andre Russel in their team, though he is not that consistent but when he clicks, he clicks, helping his team to easily score 200 + runs.
4) Mumbai Indians :-
The Mumbai Indians (MI) are the most successful team in IPL history, with multiple championships to their name, but they don’t rank high on the list of teams with 200+ scores. . They don’t rely solely on their batting and instead have a balanced approach to the game. Despite this, they have still managed to cross the 200-run mark a total of 16 times,
3) Punjab Kings
The Punjab Kings (formerly Kings XI Punjab) have also achieved the 200-run mark 17 times. They sit in third place on the list, having reached their 17th 200+ score faster than the Mumbai Indians. Although the franchise has been inconsistent at times, their wealth of batting talent cannot be questioned.
With a batting line-up that boasts of several top-notch players, the Punjab Kings will aim to make their mark in the upcoming edition of the IPL. The franchise has a solid foundation of talented players and they will be looking to capitalise on this to make a deep run in the tournament. 2)Royal Challengers Bangalore
The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have always been known for their explosive style of play. With two of the greatest all-format cricketers in Virat Kohli and the now-retired AB de Villiers, it’s no surprise that RCB leads the list for most 200+ score in IPL. The presence of Chris Gayle, who had some of his best years in the IPL with RCB, adds even more firepower to their batting lineup.
RCB has crossed the 200-run mark a remarkable 22 times
1) Chennai Super Kings
The Chennai Super Kings, led by MS Dhoni, are at the top of the list despite missing two seasons of the Indian Premier League (IPL) due to a ban.
Despite their absence, they have still managed to score over 200 runs a remarkable 23 times in their history. Their strong batting line-up, led by their skipper, has always been their greatest asset.
