Steven Smith who recently held the Australian innings together with his well made 71 runs of 123 balls in the final Ashes test has reacted to the rumours of him retiring after the Ashes series.
“I am not retiring. I have no idea where this report emerged. I have not said anything to anyone, and I am not going anywhere yet.” Steven Smith quoted.
Steven Smith who currently hold the number 6 position in Test Batsman ranking with 833 points, is enjoying his time in the middle this year.
With 723 runs in 11 games so far, he is certainly far from finished as far as test cricket is concerned.
Before this, Michael Vaughan, the former England captain has speculated that David Warner who had dismissible series so far and Steven Smith might retire from test cricket after the ashes.
With his love for test cricket, and lot of innings of great determination and grit when the whole other team was piling up like deck of cards, Steven Smith is not going anywhere soon in the longest format.
