India has been one of the strongest cricket team in the World. Though the fans are behind their team in bath and blood, Indian team performance in ICC trophies has been not up to the mark.

Over times, there also have come some matches when Indian team has to face defeat by 10 wickets, lets look at the painful days of Indian cricket team :-

1)Against New Zealand , Melbourne, 1981 :- The first on the list dates way back to 1981 against the team India doesn’t have good record in ICC knockouts, New Zealand.

Batting first India made only 112 runs in 34 overs which was chased down easily by New Zealand openers.

Former Indian coach John Wright remain unbeaten on 39.

2)Against West Indies, Bridgetown, 1997 :- India batting first got 1 shy of 200 as West Indies needed an easy target of 200 runs to register a win.

Shivnarine Chanderpaul century along with his opening partner made sure none of the West Indies batsman have to come out to bat as India got defeated by 10 wickets.

Quite hard to digest for then Indian captain Sachin Tendulkar who got out cheaply for a run.
