The’ Indian women’s team ended their long standing World Cup drought by clinching the 2025 Women’s World Cup title with a victory over South Africa in the final.
After the win, the wishes came pouring from all the famous cricketers, and some wishes were not just words, they came up with huge paycheck too. Let’s look at how much money got wired into Indian Women’s Cricketers account after the historic World Cup win.
1)ICC and BCCI Prize money: The prize money for 2025 edition of Women World cup was increased from 11.65 crore in the last World Cup in 2021, to 39.55 crore. The 40 crore prize money has to be distributed between the cricket players and support staff of the Indian women team. BCCI has also announced 51 crore prize money for Indian team.
2)2.25 crore cash: Maharastra government has given 2.25 crore cash award to three players of the team. Smriti Mandhana, Jemmimah Rodrigues and Radhav Yadav saw their bank account surge by 2.25 crore as all of them received the 2.25 crore cash award from Maharastra governement.

3)1.5 crore cash: The player to play a pivotal role in Indian team victory in finals, Deepti Sharma received a cash award of 1.5 crore from UP goverment for her all round display in the tournament and specially in the finals where she picked 5 wickets.
4)1 crore cash: The young pacer in the team, Kranti Goud has received a 1 crore cash award from Madhya Pradesh government.
5)1 crore cash: Himachal Pradesh government awarded 1 crore cash award to the Indian team pacer, Renuka Singh Thakur who plays from Himachal Pradesh in Indian domestic cricket.
6)50 lakh cash: The useful allrounder for the Indian team at the lower down of the order, Sneh Rana received a cash prize of 50 lakh from Uttarakhand government.
7)2.5 crore cash + house + govt job: The backbone of Indian spin bowling department in the World Cup, Shree Charani received cumalative benefits from Andhra government. A 2.5 crore cash award, a house and a governement job is the dream of 100 crore Indians, and Shree Charani got all three as appreciation award from Andhra government.
8)25 lakh + 51 lakh : A total of 71 lakh from Assam government and Assam association for their home player, Uma Chetry from Kandulimari village in Bokakhat, Assam.

9)1.5 crore + 11 Lakh: 1.5 crore from state governemnt and 11 lakh from PCA, Indian cricket captain Harmanpreet kaur was also appreciated for bringing world cup home.
10)1.5 crore cash: Haryana government has also felicitated Shafali Varma who played a superb innings in the final of the tournament.
While the benefits and award are good for Women team now, things were not the same before.
