1) Deep Das Gupta :- Deep Das Gupta who is now a frequent face on sports tv, doing the commentary in both Hindi and English, debuted for India in 2001 against South Africa.
While his ODI career which consisted of 5 matches didn’t have any performance to boast about, his test career had one special innings.
In the test against England at the home soil of Mohali, Deep scored his maiden century of exact 100 runs in 254 balls against a good English attack of Mathew Hoggard, Andrew Flintoff and others.
Deep did play 3 more tests against Zimbabwe and WestIndies after this, but could not repeat his heroic performaces against the English team. He played 8 test matches between 2001-2006 in total and was replaced by Ajay Ratra who had shorter career than him.

2) Nayan Mongia :- Though Nayan Mongia don’t have great stats to show both in 140 ODIs and 44 tests he played, averaging 24 in the longer format and 20 in ODIs, one innings of him against then strongest side Australia could be termed as his best outing in Indian colours.
In the turning wicket of Delhi in 1996 against Australia, Nayan Mongia played the innings of his career as he made 152 runs of 366 balls. Australia got out on 182 runs in first innings which tells about that pitch certainly was tricky and Mongia showed super perseverance to register the highest score of his career. The next highest score for India was 66 from Ganguly and Sachin himself, who was also the captain of the Indian side only managed to score 10 runs.
Current Indian batting coach Vikram Rathor also featured in the match opening the batting with Nayan Mongia.

In almost all of his innings, he used to get start but failed to convert those starts into big innings in his career which consisted of 38 ODIs and 25 tests, but not a lone century in both formats.
His best innings is chasing 183 in 37 overs against West Indies in 2011 in Port of Spain. Though he was the second highest scorer in the game with 56 of 64 balls, he assisted Virat Kohli well, who made 81 runs.

4)Saba Karim :- Sometimes the start is good but the rest of the story is not good as it could have been. This sums up the cricket career of Saba Karim who played 34 ODIs for India but his highest score came in his first match only.
On Jan 1997 in Bloemfontein, capital of South Africa, India had to chase 271 against SouthAfrica.
Coming at number 8 position, Saba Karim played a quickfire innings of 55 runs in 48 balls which included 3 fours and 1 six. India managed to get to only 231 but Saba Karim showed a good promise for a wicketkeeper batsman but he couldn’t repeat the same heroics and this this remained his highest score in ODIs.
Interestingly, Javagal Srinath came at number 3 as pinch hitter and played a good innings of 37 runs from from 45 balls.
