India has faced their second consecutive defeat against WestIndies in t20. This is the first time India has lost two matches against WestIndies consecutively in a bilateral series.
While WestIndies were always on the track chasing a seemingly low score of 152 in T20I, thanks to their ex-captain Nicholas Pooran’s flamboyant half century, it was Chahal who brought India back with two wickets in the same over.
But after that, Hardik Pandya didn’t give any over to Chahal, when he could have bowled the 18th or 19th over.
This move of Pandya which eventually backfired, not trusting the veteran leg spinner in the shortest of format, who also has the most number of T20 wickets for India in T20s, is receiving some heat from the cricket experts in twitter. Lets look at few of them :
After being the highest wicket taker in IPL and then the highest wicket taker for India in T20s, Chahal has not played any of the match in the last two t20 world cup.
He regularly used to bowl in the end of the innings in Rajasthan Royals in IPL, and so not trusting the chessmaster leggie in the later part of the innings is of some concern to cricket fans, as with World cup just 3 months away, Chahal should feel positive in his mind that he has all the backing from team management to bring his best in the field.
