1)Suryakumar Yadav :- While the Indian captain made headlines by not shaking hands with their rival Pakistan cricket team which got mixed reactions in the cricket fraternity, latter followed by altogether denying collecting trophy from PCB Chief Mohsin Naqvi, captain Surya Kumar Yadav had very little to less to show when it came to his performance as a batter in the recently concluded Asia cup.
The captain only managed to score 71 runs in 5 innings with 47 of those came in the match against Pakistan in the early stage. The things changes so fast in cricket and with Abhishek Sharma absolutely majestic at the top of the order, there are more options always to the T20 captainship going forward.
2)Shubhman Gill :- The surprised pick for the tournament, Shubman Gill made way to the Asia Cup by kicking Yashasvi Jaiswal at the top of the order. He was also given the added responsibility of vice captainship, but Shubman was not able to justify his place in the playing 11.
The Indian test cricket captain only managed to score 127 runs in 7 innings with a clean bowled dismissal against Oman, that certainly didn’t look good to his fans.
Shubman had an alright tournament in England with 4 centuries to his name, but T20 cricket has not been his forte and he really have to fix his game to perform better in T20Is.
3)Harshit Rana:- The fast bowler from Delhi who is receiving consistent backing from the Indian dressing room also was below par. He played two matches in the tournament and was simply not impressive at all, with he giving away 54 runs against Sri Lanka in 4 overs. Previously in Adelaide test, he also conceded 84 runs in just 16 overs at economy rate of 5.37 before he was released for the following match.
While all of three players are certainly not at the end of the career, but Surya Kumar Yadav, who is already 35 will certainly be under the radar, and so is Harshit Rana who has been given quite a lot of chances recently. Shubman Gill though might get one or two tournaments more, before he feels the heat around the corner.
