Virat Kohli – The former captain of the Indian Cricket Team who is currently the best batsman across the formats in the world was born and brought up in Delhi. He has studied only till 12th class. He went to 2 different schools. He joined the Savior Convent School in Paschim Vihar which was famous for its cricket coaching as he wanted to devote his entire focus to cricket. There he was coached by a highly respected coach Mr. Rajkumar Sharma and from then he has never looked back in his career. As he won the U-19 world cup there was no time for him to go to college for further education.
Hardik Pandya – The allrounder from Baroda who was touted to be the next Kapil Dev has shown many glimpses of his wonderful talent. The talent and ability that he possesses makes him an asset for the Indian team as there are still a handful of pace all-rounders in India . He belonged to an average middle class family. He studied till 9th class though he couldn’t clear the 9th class as he was not inclined towards study but had huge passion towards cricket. He has studied from MK High School in Baroda.
Rohit Sharma – The current captain of the Indian Cricket Team as well as Mumbai Indians who hails from Mumbai is considered to be batsman of pure elite class. Many consider him and Virat Kohli of the same level. The Hitman has never been to college.He has studied till 12th standard only. He was part of the 2007 T20 World Cup winning squad . He earned a national call at a very young age when he was in high school so there was no time for him to go back to his studies. He studied at Lady of Vailankanni High School in Mumbai. In his childhood he used to live with his Aunt and Uncle as their house was located near to the ground where Rohit used to practice.
MS Dhoni – The one of the greatest captains of all time MS Dhoni whose cricketing mind is appreciated throughout the world has been the most successful Indian Captain with all the ICC trophies under his name except the Test Championship. He was born in Ranchi and did his schooling from DAV Jawahar Vidya Mandir school in Ranchi. In the school he was first selected as the goalkeeper of the football team and later he switched to wicketkeeping. After completing the 12th standard he joined Railways as the ticket collector in Kharagpur. Due to pressure of work he couldn’t focus on his cricket therefore he left his job as the TC and focussed solely on his cricket career. In 2004 he was selected for the Indian Team against Bangladesh though he had a disastrous start but after that he never looked back .
Shikhar Dhawan – The left handed opener from Delhi announced his arrival at the International stage with a bang as he became Man of the Tournament in the U-19 World Cup. The road after that wasn’t easy for him as he couldn’t perform well for India in his debut series against the West Indies. In 2012 in his test match debut against Australia he played a memorable innings of 187 after which he became a regular feature in the Indian team. Shikhar was notorious as a child and wasn’t great in studies. He has studied from St. Marks School in Meera Bagh. He didn’t study after the 12th class as he wanted to focus on cricket. His parents were also very supportive of his decision and it indeed paid off well.
