1)Looked street cricketer against Pakistan: Ever since the first ball mistimed for 6 of Haris Rauf, Nural Hasan did not convincing played even a single delivery. Of his scratch innings of 16 from 21 balls, of which one was mistimed 6 over the third man, Nural Hasan was simply painful to look at. Bangladesh had enough players in the dug out waiting to get their chance in place of Nural Hasan.
2)Poor Technique: Nurul Hasan had very unconvincing approach to both fast bowlers and spinners. There are players who find it difficult against pace bowlers, but have good game against spinners, but Nurul Hasan is just painful against both spinners and fast bowlers.
3)Mindset: The presence of Nurul Hasan was also not looking convincing. There is sheer determination that shows up on the face, which is visible, in the find of the tournament for them, Saif Hassan, but such determination was simply absent from Nurul Hasan. The body language was also not convincing, the determination to stay till the end was simply not present. The price on the wicket was missing.
While Bangladesh did not have that bad outing in the Asia Cup 2025, with a good win against Sri Lanka, apart from Saif Hassan and Hridoy, none of the other batsman really contributed anything for the team. While they have good find at the top of the order in the form of Saif Hassan and Litton Das at 3, who was unfortunately injured, the middle order has lot of mediocrity, and coach and captain need to look at some other players who can bring some quality in the middle order. Jaker Ali was also not impressive.
